Molecular electronics is a widely interdisciplinary field at the frontiers of physics, chemistry, biology, electronics and their interfaces. The design and use of electronic components and devices at the nanometer scale hold great potential for the future.
Following the success of the previous editions (Elecmol21), we are pleased to announce the 11th International Conference on Molecular Electronics (ElecMol) which will be held in Paris from 14th to 17th of December 2026.
The main purpose of the conference is an up-to-date scientific exchange on recent advances in the field of molecular electronics, gathering researchers from all over the world around top-level invited speakers.
It should also foster the development of national and international collaborations between academic and industrial partners at the highest level.
The conference covers several topics among which
Mechanisms of charge transport: quantum transport, tunneling, phonon-assisted processes, and polaron transport.
Material and device development: organic and hybrid electronics, van der Waals structures, molecular switches
Interface with chemistry: on-surface reactions, molecular self-assembly
Characterization techniques: in operando device performance (including under mechanical, thermal, or electrical stresses), spectroscopy, scanning probe techniques, break junction techniques, correlative analysis
Molecular theoretical modelling: data analysis using AI, Density Functional Theory, Non-Equilibrium Green’s Functions, Marcus theory
BioElectronics: bioinspired approaches and biomimetic devices
ElecMol 2026 targets to attract many young researchers due to attractive and low registration fees for students and post-docs. ElecMol thus aims at promoting scientific exchanges between the young actors of today’s research, the leaders of tomorrow and their pioneering mentors. This conference is also an opportunity for the development of national and international collaborations between academic and private partners at the highest level.
